I portray Randi McMillan in an amazing new audio drama series, Higher Grounds.
Journalist and podcast host Kat Singleton dives into the untold story of Nashville’s legendary coffeehouse, Higher Grounds. Through intimate interviews with the women behind it, she unravels a powerful tale of lifelong friendship, buried secrets, and the explosive scandal that nearly destroyed it all. As the truth comes to light, Kat discovers the revelations are more personal—and more life changing —than she ever imagined.
Told as an oral history with a documentary feel, Higher Grounds blends emotional storytelling with a cinematic soundscape to immerse listeners in its gripping, fictional narrative. This audio drama features a cast of compelling characters and weaves decades of secrets and struggles into a story of resilience and redemption. Written by Kim Conway, this heartfelt drama invites listeners to explore the messy truths behind love, loyalty, and the lengths we go to protect the ones we hold dear.

I am honored to be part of this work so full of heart, beauty and grace -- the beautiful upcoming animated film, A Prayer from the Blackbox.
A Prayer from the Blackbox follows the story of a robot monk (Blackbox) who continues to take care of a local temple after their builder passes away.
I portray Senne, a woman on a search for understanding... of home, love, loss, and self-acceptance.
From Built By Crows Studio:
"Senne is the other half of our main cast — a critical part of the conversation of this film, and a perspective that keeps Blackbox from self-inflicting doubt. She is a Traveler — in our fictional world, this means to be unrooted, nomadic, free. She has walked the far reaches of all lands, but she still has a home. In our film, she returns to say her goodbyes to her late parents, who passed while she was on her adventures.
The conversation between her and Blackbox in that old temple will be an attempt at processing both their grief, and healing the soul. Our film charts their conversations. Brief talks about grief, memory, family, pride, fears and belief. For different reasons, they are both alone, together."
A Prayer from the Blackbox is an independent animated 2D short film by fledgling studio Built By Crows, led by the incredible Drew Roderick.
Built By Crows is an international team of animators and artists working across borders to bring the world new and compelling hand drawn 2D works, and have been in production on this film for two years.
If you wish to be part of helping these dedicated artists make this amazing dream a reality, please learn more about the project and view a clip at the Kickstarter link, below.

I could not be more thrilled to let people know that The Madness of Chartrulean Season 2 teaser is now available!!!!
Current critics have this to say about the series:
"A unique fusion of Dune, Game of Thrones, and Shakespearean tragedy, the series has captivated audiences since its release with cinematic sound design, haunting original score and enigmatic performances. This is a character drama on a world-class scale, and can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with scripted fiction shows from Audible and the BBC.”

Congratulations to filmmaker and visual artist Yan Jin on the US premiere of her film Cremeschnitte at the Oxford Film Festival in March. I was the narrator for the film, and it is a fascinating labyrinth of a journey.
About the film:
"A Sebaldian visual essay, interweaving time and space...."
"Cremeschnitte is a video essay exploring the dialectical relationship between language, culture and geopolitics, how language is constructed and restructured by culture, as well as how cultural heritage transcends the border and constraints within ethnic or social groups, meanwhile questioning how a borderline is drawn on a map where there’s no physical dividing line. By introducing Cremeschnitte as a metaphor connecting different countries of different backgrounds and becoming a survivor of the turbulent history, the narrative blurs the boundary between fiction and nonfiction."
